Skin ageing due to expired makeup: Myth or reality?

We are all guilty of holding onto our makeup for years. We don't really want to know that our favorite lip shade, bronzer or eye palette needs to be tossed into trash. Unfortunately regardless of what brand we use, makeup comes with a shelf life and when used beyond the expiry date can cause skin infections.

The formula's break down and become clumpy, in the process, all the molecules in these products can form something else which can lead to a reaction. Expired makeup invites, rashes, irritation, acne, bumps, bacterial infection etc. Overtime, it can lead to premature skin ageing.
