AN INTUTIVE OMNIBUS

An inner voice connecting rest of us...

Person Writing

I HOPE THESE WORDS FIND YOU

To my grandad
It wasn't easy
And you did not even bid me good bye
Let's meet in the end then
I can't wait to wait to talk to you for long hours
About my journey and what I have learnt from it

I hope you are at some place happy
But I hope those days come back
When you used to take the tv remote
From me , to watch the cricket match
I hope you scold me again
When I brought all my friends to play
During your sleeping hours
I hope you drive me to school again
While I ate my breakfast on the way
I've never learnt to be on time till date though ,
I hope you scold Abrar again
When he used to trouble me
While I came looking for you to escape him
I hope you to the market again every morning
And today I would eat spinach everyday just for you

After all this time ,
I think our departure was meant to be
I wish you knew how stronger I have become
And continue to do so
I hope these words find the way to your heart
And make you smile again.

The Death of Socrates
Urban Neighbourhood

NOSTALGIC STREETS

It was a sunny winter afternoon
I enter those streets
Streets, which remind me of my childhood
Nothing much has changed since then
Except for the people living there
I cross my rivals' homes
And wonder if they are still living there
Thinking if I could ever repay them
Repay,all those fights
Which made me stronger today
I walk past the hill
where I learnt how to ride my bicycle
When my friends pushed me from the top
I walk past that shop
Where me and my cousins used to buy marbles
And free Pokémon cards were a rage back then
I walk past that park where I used to play
Now it's closed
Things have changed now
But in my bones the air of these streets
Makes me nostalgic
even in my lucid childhood dreams

EMPTINESS

Emptiness is a maze

Don't fall in it,

If others don't help you out

Don't crawl in it.

Neither fall for those dreams

Which give you erroneous hope

Because in this world where people live in their own reverie

Never expect them to fill in yours

You'll find yourself looking for light

But life is dark,

The only thing

which illuminates it

Will be you.

Flower Girl

CARRY A TORCH FOR HER

She believed that

it wasn't meant for her,
She believed that

the blazing flame would consume her.

Neither bliss nor melancholy was in her favor,
She saw it vanishing, before she could savor,

So she did not roll the bait,
Maybe, all of it wasn't worth the wait.

So she fights her symphonies,
Dealing her own devil,
Away from the worldly jeopardy

Raging her own peril.

THE DE EN NAY

Bickering Stoush took away my childhood

But no one asked why I had no friends back then,

Concoct wrapped in diplomacy

But no one asked why I would never open,

Escaped my emotions, faced my fears

But vanity stays in both colums of my genetic code.

Now I've grown enough to build a home within myself,

That people ask what made this a heart of a stone.

Spits out poison

Ripped apart a soul,

Eat with your hands

A loved Heart served in bowl.

Oh! You won the game?

Right, your plan scores.

But you lost what you adored

Did you even hear yourself roar?

SUMMER SHIFTS

Night-time tales under wet hay,

Brand new, everyday,

I completed them from where you left,

When you were tired and slept away.

Star studded summer Nights,

Sleepy, tired, squinty eyes,

Under the moon, you taught me,

The colours of the white light.

Lanes where cestrum bloomed,

I remember our nocturnal walks,

Opening the world to a young soul,

Nothing more nurturing when I heard you talk.

Now we're stuck amidst a pandemic,

Quiet Natural, life shifts,

You cannot escape the reality,

While I wait to meet you when this quarantine lifts.

Star Cluster

BEYOND

Moist, sparkling, comforting eyes

Distant ,naked ,open ties

She found herself beneath

The star studded night skies

Filled with her forgiving grace,

Life slowed down her moving pace,

She woke up wearing nothing

But her dewy morning flowing lace.

Mirror never looked more revealing,

Pain was all the scars healing,

She glared into her own eyes

What looked beyond herself gleaming.

THOSE WHO CRIED VICTIM

You ran nowhere, now your muscles burn

You gave up too quick, you feel that you've lost

Only to find, that wasn't even your turn

You thought you were too weak, now look what it cost

All those castles you made, blew away with the wind

You didn't measure your actions, found yourself swayed

All those critics, make your heart sting

Now you cry victim? Really?? well played!!!

Open your eyes, it's the biting reality

People in here, won't help with your tears

Its true, the world has lost all it's sanity

Put down your phone, face all your fears.

NEVER YOUR CARD

The world rages it's daily wars,

Not a day when the privilege cried,

The lights turn on ,camera's play,

It was dark when the innocent died.

Poison fills your screens again,

What they show could never be clear,

But empathy was never your card,

Cause you never lived the outright fear.

The Death of Socrates

POISONED MYSELF TO STAY ALIVE

So, I spill the poison

And let my soul burn

broke my heart

Funny,it took me so long to learn

Your love was so shallow

could'nt dip my toe in it

Your mind was so narrow

could'nt let myself breath in it

If not being vulnerable makes you strong

then I would love to knock your ego

and prove you wrong.

WINGS

You held back a star

Pulled every string,

You wanted a war

Who fights with the king?

Couldn't rule with your laws

Your Kingdom now sinks,

You loaded the carg

She pulled out her wings.

WET KOHL

Hot fire blazing
But feels so cold
I try to embrace it
With all my soul

The spark that grew
I couldn't control
Now feels distant
True colours unfold

I watch it grow
From a place afloat
Away from the flame
Eyes wet with kohl.

PERSUING GLEE

Happiness is a gem, for all and sundry

The world got enthralled to pursue glee

I heard them say

Abundance is the key

You know it in your gut when

It went missing in a loving friend's company

It's quest took me near the sea

Couldn't find it in dense forests,

Or among the prairies

One day I woke up

Made myself a cup of tea

Had tears running down my face

When I found it me.

CAPITALISTIC ENEMY

I wish we lived a life
Amongst the green prairies
Going fishing for a while
Cherry blossoms, buzzing bees.

I wish we had no choice
But to meet people for tea
Genuine laughs and smiles
Unconditional love, exultant glee.

My only innocent cry is that
Since paper left the tree
We now live a thrilling crime of
Recreation, being a capitalistic enemy.

Sleepless nights, brain health cries
Here working hard is the commodity
Rising debt, Ruble fights
In this bleeding economy.
